St Georges College

St George’s College is an independent co-educational Roman Catholic day school based in Surrey offering inspirational values led education. St George’s Weybridge was founded in 1869 by a Belgium Catholic order of priests called the Josephites and was originally based in Croydon.

Within a few years it had outgrown its base in Croydon and in 1884 moved to Woburn Park near Weybridge. In the 18th century Woburn Park became famous as the first ornamental farm created by its then owner; Philip Southcote. After his death the estate had numerous owners and in 1876 it was established as the first Catholic school on the site before the owner William Petre sold it to the Josephites.

InterFocus undertook work on two science laboratories at the St Georges College. This turnkey project included teaching desks and sink stations, it also features our pod system and school tables range. Perimeter benching was installed to contain sinks and services and provide under-bench storage for the classrooms.

The project scope of works included, complete strip out of existing facilities, floor chasing for services, new updated lighting and ceiling system. New flooring, complete redecoration, plumbing, electrics and data were installed. New furniture was manufactured and installed alongside Trespa worktops.
