Science Classroom Layout

The InterFocus pod style laboratory creates a flexible design as only the service pods are fixed within the classroom, the student tables can easily be moved to suit the class requirements.

The pod system

The pod system gives a flexible layout approach for students, only the Pod is secured to the floor and contains all the services. 

The free standing tables can then be moved and positioned in any number and configuration around the pod.

The Pod itself does not offer storage but does have a lockable access door as standard for access to shut of valves for gas and other services.

 Our pod systems are available in any height range to suit 7-18 years.

Additional Storage

As the pods themselves contain all the services such as water, gas, electric and data we recommend that additional perimeter storage is provided around the outer edges of the classroom. 

With this configuration ample storage is still provided.

The pod system provides a flexible table solution
and suits pupils working in groups

The pod system gives you a flexible table layout and allows pupils to work in larger groups, encouraging team work and social interaction. The simple layouts gives space and allow the teacher to walk around freely during the teaching session.
Additional classroom storage can be provided with benching around the outside perimeter of the classroom

A 600mm(w) x 600mm(d) x 850mm(h) pod, available with gas and electric options on the worktop, the worktop can be in any of our worktop materials such as Trespa, Lab20, Velstone or Iroko

Pod 2 Typical configuration

A 600mm(w) x 600mm(d) x 850mm(h) pod with an SQ6 sink (300x300x200d). The worktop can be in any of our worktop materials such as Trespa, Lab20, Velstone or Iroko.

A 600mm(w) x 600mm(d) x 1025mm(h) pod, gas and electric services are mounted to the sides of the pod carcass. The worktop can be in any of our worktop materials such as Trespa, Lab20, Velstone or Iroko.

A 600mm(w) x 600mm(d) x 1025mm(h) pod with an SQ6 sink installed, gas and electric services are mounted to the sides of the pod carcass. The worktop can be in any of our worktop materials such as Trespa, Lab20, Velstone or Iroko.

A 600mm(w) x 360mm(d) x 1025mm(h) pod. Gas and electric services are mounted to the sides of the pod carcass or on the top. The worktop can be in any of our worktop materials such as Trespa, Lab20, Velstone or Iroko.
